I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
